People always see "Gypsies are Indian" and I say "How would you know that" the reply I inevitably get back is "Because you speak an Indian language called sanskrit"

Fair enough, we speak an Indian language, and as a Roma Gypsy I am proud of it, but isn't this Indian origin theory a little weak when only compared to languge?

It is useless conjecture, like saying "Elvis Presley died in Memphis, Memphis is in Egypt, so Elvis Presley must have died in Egypt"

Well, in actual fact we know that the Romans came from Rome, Rome is in Italy, and this is where Latin was spoken.
But today in our present time modern Italian does no resembles ancient latin, it stems from it yes, like all the other romance languages like French, Spanish, Portuguese etc, but the closes language to old Latin today is surprisingly NOT Italian.
It's Romanian, also knowns as "Vulgar Latin".

So, can you see where these useless conjectures and assumptions can lead, I believe that there is more evidence that we came from Persia or Iraq (maybe a lost tribe of Israel) but what can't say without sufficient evidence.

There is one thing Gypsies know though, that we are not Indian (though only through marriage) and we were in Egypt at some point in the remote past as slaves, my guess is that we left Egypt maybe as Hebrews, maybe as a separate people.

There are a lot of 'maybe's' (i.e. holes) in your theory.

Maybe roma originated in india, maybe they didn't, but you seem to know about as much as the people you are criticizing. The truth is no one knows for sure.

As far as you being hebrews, that argument is even weaker (after all egypt, especially Alexandria, was very cosmopolitan, with greeks, persians gauls, etc.). And your elvis analogy is irrelevant.

We also don't know where Basque/Euskeran came from (it is entirely unrelated to any of the main language families). I guess the only thing we know is that ****** Francisco Franco hated both roma and basques.

It's always safest to stay away from OTC diet pills, no matter WHAT the commercials might say. If you're that in need of losing weight, please talk to your doctor, or a dietician. okay i really need to lose around 4 stone in 3 weeks, im going away on holiday then and ive already lost around 6-7 pounds in 5 days by restricting my calorie intake to round about 400 and doing a lot of excircise, im not prepared to buy diet pill and so forth

Eating that few calories may work short term, but once you eat normal amounts you'll gain weight tenfold. Trust me, I lost weight that way and I gained 15 lbs back once I started eating normally.

Instead, try eating 1200 calories a day. Eat them in small, frequent meals every couple hours to keep your metabolism high. Do 30-60 minutes of cardio every day (running, jump rope, anything that keeps your heart rate up and breathing hard, which burns fat), and 15-30 minutes of strength training (crunches, pushups, weights, etc) to avoid losing muscle mass. Drink at least 2L of water a day, more if you can. Good luck! You can do it :)

Last week husband and I went to buy a new used car. We got approved for financing and everything was all set for today then the dealership called and told us they discovered the car we were buying had it's odometer tampered with. They are returning the car to where they got it.

Then they said they have a another car similar to that one they could offer me for $500 more. It's a year newer though so I'm concerned what that will do my insurance as the other had a difference in in the premium by an additional $450/year (over my current car).

Now I am thinking we might be better off not taking this other car and just waiting a few months, really find what we're looking for and since my husband is set to receive two raises by the end of June we might be able to afford more car and more insurance in 2 months.

If we cancel this whole thing now, and look again in 2 months, will our score be effected so much by the inquiries our interest rate might not be as good as it is now? Or will everything be about the same?

I feel I should mention at the time of us applying this time around our credit report stated we had $4000 in debt, even though it was paid off, it just hadn't reflected on the report yet. It will be reported on there in two months time.

So, I recently started weight lifting, and I have been losing 3-4 lbs. a week. Mind you, I have lost 60 lbs. so far, so my losses aren't going to be 10 lbs. as if I were a beginner. I also do the treadmill for an hour Monday-Friday. Is the weight lifting the reason why I am seeing bigger losses? Usually my losses are 1-2 lbs. a week.

What do you mean “my losses aren't going to be 10 lbs, as if I were a beginner”?

I never have to lose more than 10 pounds and I’m not a beginner, just a person who never have to lose more than 10 pounds as I lose 10 pounds when I have to and do not wait until I have to lose more as I think that 10 pounds are hard enough to lose as it is (I do it the healthy way...half a pound of body fat a week = 1,750 calories of exercising while eating enough to cover my BMR as to not send my metabolism down the drain).

You’re the beginner one, as you might as well have been sleeping when you had 10lbs to lose, or 20, 30, 40, 50...
And thinking that weight training would make you lose weight on the scale...you’re supposed to first GAIN muscle mass which is 3 times heavier than body fat.
When starting weight training, you should even stop using a scale as the weight gain is somewhat depressing for some people with weight loss as a goal.

Once you get more muscle mass, after a few months (not “recently”) your metabolism goes up on a 24/7 basis. Each pound of added muscle mass needs 35/50 calories a day to maintain (not even counting the calories for the exercise). It’s 12 to 18 thousand calories a year…it’s 3 to 5 pounds of body fat a YEAR that you would either lose or at least not gain (if you eat too much). And that is just for one pound of extra added muscle mass.

Each pound of body fat is 3,500 calories of exercising...4lbs/week would theoretically be 14,000 calories and you would have to do an average of 2,000 calories a day of exercising, like 4 or 5 hours every day to accomplish that...surely more than an hour on a treadmill weekdays and some weight lifting.
So you probably do not eat enough to cover your BMR is you lose weight too fast.

You should eat enough calories to cover your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) or your body will adapt to a low caloric intake and lower your metabolism, making it very hard for you to use your body fat. And then, as soon as you would eventually start eating normally again, you would make body fat very easily, because you would have a lower metabolism and therefore regain all the weight you lost and keep going up, unless you exercise A LOT. Also, if you’re younger than 21, you need to eat more when having a growth spurt so you don’t stunt your growth (you get ravenous).

two of my friends and i are planning on going on a backpacking trip across europe sometime in the next few years (preferably during may/june for about a month or two). we're trying to get together a loose plan of where we want to go, certain places we want to see, and what to bring.

so far, we've narrowed our list down to france, switzerland, greece, england, italy, the netherlands, ireland, scotland, and germany (probably just a two day trip for the last three). we don't want to have to rush around too much, though. i'm not sure if we can fit all that into a month and a half. what countries would you say are a must, and which could probably be left out?

we're planning on staying in hostels along the way. are there any you would recommend?

you are traveling to very civilized countries which are also in turn very westernized/americanized. not much of an adventure if you ask me. Germany you should devote more time to, they have a lot of solid history pre WW2 that would be very beneficial. Also you have to see how you are getting to certain places transportation wise, you cant hitchhike to an island.

Also being girls, hitchhiking will be very dangerous, now theres the adventure haha, invite some male friends along lest youd be raped or killed. or both. This is quite serious by the way.

i know i could just look this up on google and crap, but i have a particularly weird stomach. first of all it is small, and i have a narrow waist and i dont consider me fat or anything. but my stomach pouches the slightest bit, and although most people probably dont notice it irritates me. so i have virtually no fat on my stomach, in fact if i were to look in the mirror right now without flexing or anything i would be able to see my abs (the top four anyway). so i dont nned a diet or anything along those lines, i just need a few exercises or tips to keep my stomach from pouching. also the rest of me is thin, so as i mentioned before i am nott overweight or unhealthy, i just want a flat stomach! and i dont think its genetics because no one in my family that i know of has this too

I know that I should be patient, but I was just extremely curious. I hear that genetics play a role on breast size. I'm 13, about less than 95lbs, and I believe I'm 5'4" or 5'3". (Unsure) My mother is I think 38, 5'5" and maybe a less than 140. Since my mom has a large chest and is way fatter than me (no offense, but she's over weight and has big bones XD) and I'm skinny as crap and has a smaller chest, how big would my breasts be? Smaller? If your mother is 36 C, that doesn't seem to me overweight.

In Arkansas it seems the women are bigger and curvier and stuff. But I do NOT mean body fat wise, I mean body build & size, kind of preteen looking, like some Asian women. I see so many Black women here in California who are even smallER than Asian women!! (some are still curvy, with a round butt or w/e, but I mean small hands, small waist, small build). Its really really weird to me. I take the bus with a Black girl in my college who is absolutely tiny, her feet, her hands, she's about 5'1 and very skinny, then my friend Jasmine is the exact same way, (she somehow still has a round butt & boobs, lol) but everything else about her is like a small preteen I see them out here a lot. My friends even descibe her to other people as "the small girl" lol. I just see it a lot. If you already have spectroscopy as a subject for your course, then you have to keep the following things in mind before reading a book:-

2) You must have clear idea about the basic concepts of chemistry, i.e., structure of molecules, bonding in molecules etc.

4) Wave length, wave number and frequency of different types of radiation.

There's not much you can do really.
Try wearing different bracelets or watches, hair ties. Something to cover up the section of your arm.

Well i do tons of Ab workouts / Leg workouts purely for basketball. It can be done by anyone and as long as you stick to the plan you will see results.

You should buy a 5 pound dumbell or 10 pound dumbell. Get into a situp position, hold the dumbell above your head, cross your legs and slightly lift them above the ground and start doing situps. I recommend starting with the 5 pound and increasing the weight gradually as time goes by.

A really good ab exercise is doing side to side motions with a medicine ball. You sit on the floor, lift your legs in the air and motion the medicine ball side to side. Personally i do 4 sets of 50 with a 10 pound ball (it is harder than it looks) so i recommend buying a 5-6 pound medicine ball and do this exercise everyday.

Other Ab Exercises Include: Crunches, Bicycle Crunches, Situps, Situps and holding the position 3 seconds before relaxing and of course running will lose the fat around your stomach so you can look more tone.

For the leg portions. You should really buy ankle weights and dumbells. Lunges (carrying dumbells on both sides) Squats (10, 10 and 10) which consists of 10 deep squats, 10 fast squats and 10 squats and jumping when you go up. Calf Raises are easy to do , you can use a dumbell or stairs. Place your feet on the edge of the stair and higher yourself and lower yourself till you feel a burn in your calf. 30 reps / 3 sets of calf lifts a day should be good.

The most important thing is that you stick to this plan. You have to act like its a religion and never give up. Good luck!

Since i upgraded to IE9, i have had nothing but problems - pages freezing, apps on facebook not working properly because IE9 has "stopped cross site scripting" and sites that i have been using for ages not loading properly because IE9 is stopping pop-ups, Pain in the ****! You and your mom are very lucky to have these ladies. A gas coupon would be a good start, to offset at least the travel aspect.
Ask Mom to inquire into their interests or hobbies. If they like the theatre, you can get them tix to a show, if they are into gardening, something along those lines. Don't get them wine or liquor until you know a bit more, they may be in the program or religious.

1. We're landing in Milan, and we'd like to travel by train to Rome and/or Venice. Is that the best choice? What are the travelling times like (how many hours sort of thing)?
2. Does anyone have any recommended hotels OR places to see OR places to avoid? We're on a bit of a budget, but can afford most hotels...
3. Does the Vatican charge admission? (Seems silly to ask, but I may as well...)

im a skinny guy..183cm and 63kg...i found that im super hard to gain weight...i play basketball like 1 hours every 2 day,means like monday i play basketball and tuesday i worked out..i do some workout in other day like

bicep curl 10kg,
shoulder press 10kg each hand,
triceps kickback 10kg..
incline pushup x30..

I don't know too awful much about Italian history but in Germany and Russia there were miserable economic and political conditions. Lenin, Mussolini, Hitler, Mao...all dictators in history first demonize and try to take away the right to citizens to arm themselves.

I was in Venice in April.
The Gondola rides vary depending on the time of day and where you get the ride from. The cost varied from 60 euros to 147 euros. We went on a trip to Murano,Burano and Torchello one afternoon and it cost 20 euros.
The Doges Palace was 13 euros.

If you go to Venice. Have a fab time. You will fall in love with a truly unique city.

I'm on a diet and I always stay away from salt, but tonight I wanted to make Asian Chicken and Broccoli which has 1 1/4 Tbsp. Salt in it.

It also has 1 Tbsp of Cornstarch.

I didn't want to go to the chinese food place to buy it because I know they add tons of fats and salt and I don't trust them.

a month later i texted him and we were talking like friends, but he was asking me about my bf (who I actually broke up with a while ago) and he kept asking why we broke up, like he was interested. but as soon as I brought up what happened with US, he told me he was over me (it was a terrible terrriblee breakup..) and he shut down. he'd get pissed if i brought it up, I just wanted closure so I could feel better, but then he ended up blocking my number again..I really don't understand?!

*also, we lost our virginities to eachother..it meant a lot. and I do want him back more than anything..but I can't talk to him. he hasn't tried to make the first move yet, it's always been me so I feel like I need to back off and leave him alone...I just miss him. I did tell him I'll always love him. he also talked about getting me a promise ring, and how much he wanted to be with me forever. we planned out everything :/

I know exactly how your ex feels i felt the same way with my ex :/ The fact of the matter is hes blocking you and avoiding communication from you because part of him still Loves you very much and the fact that what you guys had is over hurts him. He probably feels like things wont ever be the same between you guys and whenever he talks to you he feels all the emotion and all the memories that you guys shared together and it hurts him. Thats the reason why he keeps blocking you, he misses what he had before and still part of him loves you alot.

Well fisrt off I found the conversation kind of confusing and sort of flowing into itself... I didnt feal the diffrence between the characters... I mean yeah in real life people arent all characters but most have diffrent ways of conversating... some do it with more body than others maybe think about how people really converse...... Now this is just a nit pick but no Biker would ever let anyone call him Jules...... I mean its the like the old country song a boy names Sue.... he would either go by a nickname or get in many many many fights making him scared and in your face. but thats just a complaint of my own...... Everyone knows that Italians love black women. But my question is how are black men treated? I'm African American and I will be visiting Rome for a few weeks. Iv'e experienced racism in other European countries before and I'm wondering what to expect in Italy. I know that some cities have large African immigrant populations. Tips needed for raw vegan diet?

I don't like cooking and don't like doing dishes (too busy and lazy for that)...also I don't like milk and milk products either. So am thinking of the raw vegan diet.

I am almost vegan now. I eat fruits for breakfast, fruits for snacks, fruit smoothies for lunch. Evening I have a slice of bread with peanut butter, and some carrot juice. My only problem is dinner....i eat a cooked meal for dinner.

Can someone give me some tips for raw vegan dinner, that doesn't take much time to prepare? I am thinking of salad, but I am wondering if there will be enough protein in a salad. I don't need much, currently am taking like 10-20 grams of protien a day (which is enough for me). So if someone can recommend an easy to make raw vegan dinner, that would help me out greatly (No more cooking...yay)

The first things you need are two books- "The Complete Book of Raw Food" by Rodwell / Baird. and "Raw Food Made Easy" by Jennifer Cornbleet. There are plenty of simple recipes that don't require specialty equipment, like a dehydrator.

For a quick dinner, you can always have lettuce wraps with guacamole or cashew ranch dip with veggies. If all you want is a quick source of protein, eat an avocado.

Raw food does take a lot of preparation. I think I spend more time "cooking" now, than I did when I ate cooked foods.

all these years i've heard people say rap isn't music its just talking with a beat behind it and i always argued that until guys like lil wayne and drake came around I mean drake has a couple good songs but he sucks to.But back to the point here lil wayne just makes no sense his voice is freakin obnoxious and he has absolutly no skills what so ever he was actually good like 10 years ago when he didnt talk like an idiot and sound like a moose gettin a duck shoved up his ***. Well right now i ride this horse with a high head carraige naturally, and he is very forward. He kind of makes me a little nervous right now because im used to the lazier horses haha. Anyway i was wondering if you guys had any tips to:
A: Calm my nerves about spooking going too fast, and just his forwardness
B: How to not be nervous or scared if my trainer ever asks me to jump him
C:Not be nervous at a show if i was ever asked to show him?

A: calming nerves, ok, if you stay to nervous around a horse the horse will sense it and take advantage of you (and the end result isn't good) trust in your horse if you fall get back up again get to know the horse enough to say when he does this he's ready to go or scared or excited, if you do that when he makes signs of something you don't like get off him till its gone away (this works... for me anyway)
B: your trainer will or shouldn't ever get you to jump if your nervous, the more nervous you are the more you will be likely to make a mistake and fall. Until your nerves stop don't do large jumps do small ones until you get the ring of it with him.
C: nervous at a show... not much i can help you with there except a away to get rid of it i do this when i'm made to demenstrate for the class(riding class) i imagine its just me and the horse doing the things we love which usually for me and her are jumping logs and the jumps arn't much higher than them so i don't see the problem, if you imagine your in the practice ring alone and you two are practising like your at a show i'm sure the nervousness should pass

I have been studying italian for a while and know a bit of grammer and vocabulary, and even visited italy for 5 weeks, however i have trouble communicating. I find that I am slow with thinking of what i want to say. I want to know if there is a site out there that would allow you to link up with someone and practice actually speaking to a person of another language and help each other out.
